That is the million dollar question....Will my, I'm just going to grunt and point to what I want, little boy every learn how to talk? After a very lengthy visit with his pediatrician today, we were referred to a speech therapist for an evaluation. I always thought that in order to have your speech evaluated you needed to know how to speak. I must have missed something along the way. I think I am going to give it the weekend to decide if I will schedule the appointment or not. Everyone pray that by Monday morning Konnor will have learned to talk so the decision will be a little bit easier for me.WiLL He oR WoNT He???

How old is he? My sister in law was convinced that Ammon was behind and having trouble that wasn't just age appropriate so we went to the place and had him tested (here it's part of the school district and if they need it it's free. Just part of their education). They said it was all developmentally appropriate. It was nice to know though. Is it possible that Konnor doesn't see the need in talking? After all, he has two big sisters that I'm sure take pretty good care of him!
Konnor is about 20 months. I totally feel that him not talking has alot to do with us. We are at his every beckon call. He knows he is going to get what he wants just by grunting. Konnor throws alot of temper tantrums. The peditrician says he does it because he is frustrated that we don't understand what he wants. He has been a child that if you give him a couple of months (past the normal time frame of doing things) he eventually begins doing what he is suppose to do. I think if I just wait it out he will be talking. I am just so confused as to what to do.
Alayna started having speech problems before she was 2 and no one believed me. They thought I was being the evil stepmother and picking on her, but after getting her evaluated and in speech therapy for the past 5 years, she has improved so much and everyone now thanks me for noticing. It's not that big of deal and the earlier you catch a problem, the better. They have so many programs in the schools to help them and even if there wasn't a problem, peach of mind is good too! Good luck, he sure is a cutie!
